Learning History For Student

Some students feel that learning history at school is very interesting. By history, they more likely to be exposed to the important events occurred in the past that relating to their identity or country. However, many others think this subject is boring.

For this article, I would like to suggest a few measures that may help the teacher to attract their student for studying history. First, we should use the internet as the main medium for learning process instead of using the textbook. This will give more chance for students to discover about history than only listen to lesson in the class or read the textbook. They can search through ‘google’ for example, as only type few words and then many results will appear either in reading material, pictures or videos. All of the real picture or documentary about the famous historical sites around the world can be accessed from this sophisticated tool. As the result, student motivation will increase to do the research.

Another method that may be recommended is by visiting the significant place that related to history such as museums, heritage sites and archaeological sites. Students will feel real as they can see the remain ancient materials still preservable. Sometimes, learning history outside better than in the class as few activities can be created for the students such as playing games or quizzes. These activities will not only provide joy to them but also instil the sense of having interest to history.
